Pep Guardiola believes the approach and effort of his Manchester City team is giving individual players the opportunity to shine.
A number have players have earned plaudits for the performances so far this season and the Blues’ boss feels they are benefiting from playing in a team where each player is helping others to achieve.
“Individual performances help the team and the way we want to play as a team help individual performances,” he said ahead of the midweek clash with Southampton.
“It’s always connected.”
City are back in action only three days after beating Huddersfield and the boss revealed the whole squad are in good spirits following Raheem Sterling’s late winner.
“We have made a good recovery,” he stated. “We are preparing for a mentally tough game against Southampton.
“For all of the players, including those who do not play regularly, I am so happy with their behaviour in training sessions.
“The players who didn’t play against Huddersfield and training yesterday, played in an amazing way in training.”
Meanwhile, Guardiola also expressed his delight with who has been impressing with his work ethic and desire to improve.
