Pep Guardiola spoke to the media after Saturday’s Premier League win against Burnley at the Etihad.

The visitors proved to be a tough team to crack but Guardiola’s men were up for the task with what ended up being an impressive 3-0 win.

Pep spoke about his team’s ability to stay cool, calm and collected under pressure.

“The team stayed stable in the last three games and maybe last season it would have been different. But our confidence has increased and we have got better.

“In the second half we played so so good and now we have three points more so I’m happy.”

With victory today, the Cityzens moved five points clear at the top of the table but Guardiola was implicit that the fact meant nothing… Especially in October.

“In May, five points clear in first place will be significant, now it is not.

“If people come here thinking that in the twentieth minute we’re going to win 5-0 that’s not going to happen. We created more chances. We have to be stable and control the game and that’s what we did.”

Speaking on Sergio Aguero’s inevitable record breaking goal, just like the rest of us Pep can’t wait to see it happen.

“It was so important for him to equal the record and soon he will break it and of course I will be happy to be in that moment with him.”
