Pep Guardiola has expressed his hunger to retain the Premier League title in the upcoming 2018/19 season.
The Blues kick-start the season with a trip away to the Emirates to face Unai Emery’s Arsenal on Sunday 12 August. Last season’s away trip against the Gunners not only marked Pep’s 100th game in charge of City, but ended with a 3-0 triumphant victory to celebrate.
Speaking ahead of the Community Shield against Chelsea and the new campaign, our boss stated that his fear of losing means he is prepared for the challenges of the new season.

“I am ready, and in my point of view the players don’t need to be worried,” Guardiola said during his press conference. “I’m ready to try it again.
“The fear of losing games makes me starving and hungry for the new season again.

“So that’s why that simple fear of losing makes you hungry.”
