Pep Guardiola has spoken about Leroy Sane’s undeniable talent, but believes that the young German can still improve throughout the rest of the season.
Speaking after City’s 4-1 FA Cup win over Burnley, the boss shared his thoughts on Sane.
“I said to him many times: I don’t have doubts of how important he is to us - he is important in the opening and for the back four, particularly the full-backs,” Pep explained during his post-match press conference. “It is not easy but he is still a lot of things to improve.
“There are simple things, he still has mistakes - big mistakes.
“The most important thing is he is able to deal with that talent and a chance to improve it, we have spoken many times about that.
“He has a special talent.
“He scored a goal but we don’t need just the goals, we need his assists and how many crosses and how he defends. He made a lot of good things.”
