Pep Guardiola was delighted at how his players applied themselves against the champions.
“We didn’t concede one shot on target. We made an amazing performance as we played against the champions. Against Arsenal, we were aggressive, we have commitment and thats why we won” declared the boss.
“I never speak about the records or said that we have to win a certain amount of games to get a record. Against Basel we will play the same. We are not going to play for the records, records can be a consequence of what we have done.
“Who could believe it (at the start of the season)? No way. In terms of not just results but way we play is a demonstration of our desire and that’s when we are pleased the most. So far we are so good.
“In the past month/two months Sergio has been the best we’ve ever seen. He is hungry and has the desire to move forward and okay he didn’t score today but he did really well.”
