Pep Guardiola has heaped praise on David Silva ahead of Manchester City’s Champions League Group F clash against Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Blues host Shakhtar at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday 7 November, kick-off at 8pm GMT.
In City’s three previous Champions League group matches this season, Silva has netted twice, including the last-minute goal in our 2-1 win over Hoffenheim.
Guardiola heaped praise on Silva’s exceptional skillset and spoke about how El Mago’s use of space sets him apart from other players.
“[David Silva] was always a problem to play against,” Pep told the press. “He is one of the most incredible players playing in the pocket, which the space in between players. He moves in those spaces.
“Few players can do it, and he is a master at that. He is enjoying it a lot. The fact he has played for so long in Premier League says everything.
“I love being alongside him every day.”
Kyle Walker also had a kind word to say on his Spanish teammate, as well as striker Raheem Sterling.
“[Raheem Sterling] is a joy to work with,” he declared. “I’ve played numerous games with him now.
“It’s a pleasure to play behind him. You have to play with a smile on your face.
“Everyone can help him. He’s reaching the levels he can but there is still work to be done.
“He needs to dedicate himself to the game to make sure he’s one of the best players in the world.
“As a teammate, [David Silva] is fantastic. He’s not the most vocal person but he lets his football to do the talking – that’s what sets him apart.
“He’s an example to all of us – a pleasure to play with and a nightmare to play against!”
