Manchester City take on the Spanish side in the Round of 32, first leg, on Thursday 13 September.
Speaking ahead of the match, the boss explained that the clash against Chelsea just a few days earlier will not be a problem in regards to squad as he is able to field a team with ‘fresh legs’.
“I think we always try and play the game the way we believe football should be played and we always want to play the way that will help us win,” Cushing explained. “We expect a tough match, but we had a tough match against Chelsea at the weekend too.
“Luckily, we have a squad which means that we can put strong players in the team with fresh legs.
“We will put a team out to win the game and we believe we can win any game we play.”
