Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola doesn’t think he will be in the dugout for as long as his Crystal Palace counterpart, Roy Hodgson.
The Eagles boss, 71, became the oldest manager in Premier League history earlier this year but, while Guardiola admires the length of Hodgson’s career, he doesn’t see himself emulating it any time soon.
He said: “No way. Impossible. He has the passion and to be doing that is incredible.
“I love my job, but I want to do something different… it will be a few more years before I experience something else yes but not 71.”

Nevertheless, Guardiola’s desire for success remains as palpable as ever, and he admitted that he gains motivation from the rare setbacks that City have experienced.
The Blues boss revealed: “When you are at the top you suffer bad moments, but I handle it good.
“Sometimes I need the bad moments to realise how good we have done or realise what you can do to turn it around and come back to winning games.”
