Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola believes Bernardo Silva has been the best player in the Premier League this season.
The Portuguese midfielder has been nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award and is also on the three-man shortlist for the Etihad Player of the Season.
Guardiola feels the attention Bernardo has received in terms of individual accolades is fully deserved: “He was the best (this season), not just in our team.
“Bernardo can play incredibly well everywhere, give me a team and he can play well there. He does everything with the ball.”

A win away to Brighton this Sunday will see the title return to the Etihad for a second successive season, while a point or a defeat could even be enough if Liverpool fail to beat Wolves at Anfield.
And although Guardiola is hoping his team can finish top once again, he is still proud of how the season has gone so far.
He said: “We’ve done incredibly well all season and in last two games we have two titles, two finals.
“Okay, if it happens it will be nice, but nothing is going to change.”
