Nick Cushing has a fully fit squad to choose from for this weekend’s FA Cup final against West Ham United Women.

City are playing in the showpiece final at Wembley looking to add to our Continental Cup win earlier in the season.

And ahead of the game, Cushing says his players are feeling the benefit of an early exit from this season’s Champions League.

“Yeah, we’ve had virtually a fit squad all season,” he said. “For the final, we have everyone to select from.

“The players are so much better [than last season] because we’ve had less games.

“We’ve changed our operation a little bit. We’re a team five seasons old. We look at where we can improve and change.

“We will do the same in the off season this year to see why we didn’t win the league. We have to learn and improve.”

Cushing was joined by captain Steph Houghton – and she said confidence is high City can get the job done.

“Yeah I’m confident,” she said. “We’ve played well this season. As long as we go through the same processes, we have a great chance of winning the trophy.”
