Pep Guardiola says Manchester City will learn from the 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur and be better for it.

The defending Premier League champions dominated the game in North London, but Steven Berwijn and Son Heung-Min scored after Oleksandr Zinchenko was sent off to win the game for the hosts.

Afterwards, Guardiola admitted you never get used to losing, but that no sportsperson or team can expect to win all the time.

“We can learn to get better for the future,” said the 49-year-old.

“Sometimes we are not used to it, but it’s happened. Sport is like this.

“You don’t always win. You have defeats. No team wins all the time. Sometimes you have to understand why to get better.”
