With 250 million children and youth across the world who are out of school*, Alex spoke with the children about the importance and impact of education.
Speaking to the young participants at Dingle Primary School, Alex said: “Enjoy coming into school. When the teachers are talking to you and you’re learning, make sure you listen because you should take every opportunity in life.”
He also explained to the children about the value of being kind to one another in school:
“If you do something, or somebody else does something well, give them praise.
“I’m sure if somebody does really well in the classroom, or on the sports field, I think the teachers will say well done, and you have to do the same to your friends as well.
“If someone doesn’t quite know how to do something and is struggling, and you know how to do it you can maybe show them or help them, because life is about helping other people as well”.
