Members of Manchester City Official Supporters Clubs have recently come together to donate thousands of pounds to the Club’s charity, City in the Community (CITC).

Thanks to fundraising efforts made by hundreds of branches around the world over the past 12 months, a donation of £30,000 was recently made to CITC at the 2024 Official Supporters Club AGM.

A further £10,000 donation was also recently made to the charity, specifically by the Norway and Denmark Supporters Club, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

Every penny raised will go towards sustaining the charity’s programmes, which empower healthier lives with city youth through football.

Kevin Parker, General Secretary of the Official Supporters Club, recently joined City in the Community ahead of the Club’s Carabao Cup victory over Watford at the Etihad Stadium to further discuss the donations and charitable support.

Commenting on the partnership with CITC, Kevin said: “City in the Community is as big a part of how you feel as a City fan as it was watching them play at Maine Road.

“We’ve taken City in the Community with us from there to the Etihad Stadium and we’ve had fantastic contact with them over the years, particularly with Alex Williams who is Life President for CITC, and a Life Vice-President of the Supporters Clubs, so that history is always around the two organisations.”

City in the Community’s Head of Fundraising and Partnerships, Sam Dainty also commented on the donations made to the charity, saying: “I want to say a huge thank you to the Official Supporters Clubs for their generous donation to CITC, this is a significant amount raised which continues to allow us to do the work we do.

“It helps us to empower healthier lives through football, sustain our programmes and continue to grow as a charity, which will ultimately help more young people in and around the city.”

With more than 400 branches worldwide, fans can proudly come together and share unforgettable City moments whilst cheering on the Club they love from wherever they are based through supporters clubs.
