After winning the 2024 Community Shield against Manchester United in the traditional season curtain raiser, Pep Guardiola’s side then began to build for the 2024/25 league season.
At the start of the week, those who reached the latter stages of the European Championships came back to the City Football Academy, including EUROs champion Rodrigo.
Then it was to the indoor pitch for the highly anticipated, annual Premier League media day where our players took part in photo shoots and social media videos for the upcoming campaign.
Following a training session London then called as we made our way to the capital for our first league assignment of the term – a trip to Chelsea.
Before we locked horns with Enzo Maresca’s side, we were given access to Ederson’s birthday celebrations where he was given a cake by Kyle Walker in the dining area.
As the week reached its climax, the shutters raised on the Premier League in 2024/25 and we recorded a fine 2-0 win over Chelsea thanks to goals from Erling Haaland and Mateo Kovacic.
