As if the tension of a top of the table Premier League clash at home to Liverpool wasn’t enough, an action-packed few days also saw City travel to Spain to tackle Atletico Madrid in our Champions League quarter-final decider.
It was arguably our most important week of the season yet… and we’ve captured the very best of all the behind-the-scenes action.
We start with last weekend’s remarkable Premier League home clash with Liverpool. The meeting between the two title contenders captured attention around the world – and the Etihad action didn’t disappoint.
Just as in our first league meeting back in October, it ended with the spoils shared as City and Liverpool fought out a thrilling 2-2 draw.
Then, the focus switched to the midweek trip to Madrid for our Champions League last eight decider away at Atletico.
We follow the squad from their final pre-match training session through the flight out to Spain and pre-match build-up at our hotel in the Spanish capital.
There is also a glimpse into the formidable table tennis skills of both Riyad Mahrez and Nathan Ake where the duo’s competitive will to win shone bright!
And in the aftermath of an eventful but ultimately rewarding goalless draw at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium which saw us reach the semi-finals for the second successive season, we follow the players on a relaxing recovery session in the pool – with John Stones proving a natural in the water!
