As part of our Manchester Pride celebrations, City midfielder Kalvin Phillips met up with a member of our official LGBTQ+ supporters’ club branch, Canal Street Blues.
The England international spoke with CSB member Will Cairns at the City Football Academy, learning more about Pride weekend and Manchester’s proud LGBTQ+ history.
The duo discussed the importance of Canal Street as a location in Manchester, as well as the world-famous parade through the city centre.
Phillips also went on to talk about what gives him pride in his life, as well as important role models for him on his journey to becoming a professional footballer.
