New Brazilian forward Kayky is delighted by the support he’s received so far from his Manchester City teammates.

The exciting 18-year-old has joined up with the squad after penning a five-year deal to complete a move from Rio De Janeiro outfit Fluminense.

A Brazilian youth international who was both Tricolor’s youngest ever debutant and youngest Copa Libertadores goalscorer, Kayky will continue to learn his craft under the watchful eye of Pep Guardiola and his coaching staff as part of the first team fold.

And the winger credited Guardiola as one of the key reasons behind his decision to join City, before thanking his new teammates for the warm reception afforded to him since his arrival.

“For me, he (Guardiola) is one of the best managers,” he told mancity.com in his first interview.

“I know him and that motivated me a lot to come here. It was one of the reasons for coming here, because of him.”

“I am delighted with the facilities, it’s huge. I also want to thank everyone who has welcomed me.

“I’m being treated very well here by my teammates. Some of them, I already know but Fernandinho was the one who I had contact with first, also Gabriel Jesus and Ederson who are both Brazilian, but the others are also helping me a lot.

“My style of play is fast and with skills to go forward. I also like to think a little differently, to try some different moves.”
