Zack Steffen sits down to talk us through one of his favourite meals.

In the second episode of our Midea Taste Tactics series, our American goalkeeper tells us about his love of salmon teriyaki with brown rice and green beans.

You can watch him discuss the inspiration behind his choice by clicking on the video above.

Influencer & chef Ahmad Alzahabi has provided the following recipe to make your own at home.

To make the rice:

Give the rice a thorough rinse, put it in the Midea rice cooker with the water and hit the brown rice setting.

Once cooked add in chopped cilantro (coriander), lime zest, lime juice and a hefty pinch of salt, then mix everything together.

To make the teriyaki sauce:

Toss the brown sugar and soy sauce into a frying pan and reduce the mix. Keep stirring on medium heat until the sauce thickens, continue stirring to avoid burning the sauce. Option to add sesame seeds once done.

To make the green beans:

Lightly spray the beans with avocado oil, add a hefty pinch of salt and black pepper and give them a toss. Add them to the Midea air fryer and air fry for ten minutes at 400 degrees F / 200 degrees C.

To make the salmon:

Season the salmon fillets with cajun spice and any neutral oil of your choice. Lay the salmon skin side down on the Midea grill, and coat with the teriyaki sauce using a brush. Cover the salmon with sauce on all sides. Turn the fillets every few minutes until cooked through on all sides.
