Raheem Sterling says he is confident City can get the three points we need to be confirmed as Premier League champions, despite the 2-1 defeat at home to Chelsea on Saturday.

With City knowing a win would seal our third title in four seasons, it was a bitterly disappointing result against a resurgent Chelsea side who we will face again at the end of the month in the Champions League final.

Sterling admits it was a frustrating game, with City missing a penalty on the stroke of half time that would have put us 2-0 ahead.

But the forward says he feels sure we will get the points we need in our final three games, with Friday’s game at Newcastle our next opportunity.

“It’s disappointing, having taken the lead and having a chance to go 2-0 up,” he said.

“It’s frustrating, but we have other games to go and hopefully we can make it right.

“It was a day to get over the line and sadly we couldn’t.

“We’ve got games and we are confident we will get over the line.

“It should have been done today, it wasn’t, but we will go again against Newcastle.”
