All of a sudden the game was level again less than four minutes later, as Konstantinos Mavropanos timed his run perfectly to head in Jarred Bowen’s corner off the underside of the bar.
The point sees us fall nine points behind Arsenal in the Premier League title race, as the Gunners left it late against Everton earlier in the day.
The Spanish midfielder explained how it was frustrating to not come away with all three points, but this will not deter the side from kicking on in our upcoming fixtures.
“I’m disappointed, but at the same time I’m proud of my teammates,” he began.
“We tried everything but in the end I think it’s been the turning of this season.
“It’s not enough at this level you have to put the ball in the net and it’s what we’re missing.”
“There’s no point in dropping our heads.
“It’s a moment to recover the mentality to go again and that we have good things to fight for.
“We know that it might be difficult, but at home we are strong.”
