Special Olympics North Carolina is one of the largest programs of its kind in the world, with nearly 45,000 registered athletes involved.
Its aim is to provide year-round competitions for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them the opportunity to keep active and make friends along the way.

And the participants were joined by Mbete, Hamilton and City in the Community coaches during their latest session as part of the Club’s pre-season tour of the United States.
Our stars got involved by showing off some of their skills, while also watching and coaching some of the young people involved on the day.
The pair then addressed the group, offering some words of wisdom as part of further conversations after the session had finished.
