The Venezuelan international striker has agreed a three-year deal with City and will officially make the move to Manchester on July 1 from Atletico Madrid, subject to international clearance.
The 23-year-old, who also captains her country, has forged a reputation for being one of the most exciting young talents in the women’s game, and has scored 23 goals in 58 appearances across all competitions in her two-and -a-half years at Atletico.
And in her first interview with mancity.com, Castellanos said she believed the move to City would not only help her continue to develop but also bring out the very best in both her and Gareth Taylor’s team.

“I feel I could fit very well into City’s style and it’s a team that will challenge me and make me learn which is something that I really want,” Castellanos declared.
“City have the possession game that I really like and it’s in a league where the football is very quick and very physical. It’s a mix of everything and I think that will help me.
“Looking at the facilities here is something amazing too. City will help me improve my football and I hope I can help you guys too!”
