Ellen White has highlighted Manchester City’s collective ethos as we look to kickstart our FA Women’s Super League campaign at Arsenal on Sunday evening.

Fresh from an international break where she scored four goals in two games and was recognised as England’s 2020-21 Player of the Year, White and co. refocus on our WSL campaign as we looking to bounce back from a slender 1-0 defeat to Tottenham.

Victory at Meadow Park is far from a foregone conclusion though, with new Gunners manager Jonas Eidevall overseeing two WSL victories so far, including a 3-2 opening day triumph over reigning champions Chelsea.

However, White insists City are determined to put things right following our Spurs setback, and that the entire team can’t wait to get back into the thick of the action.

“I think everyone’s really excited… we just want to get going now,” she told mancity.com.

“We want to put things right and collectively as a group we understand we lose together but we fight together and win together.

“It’s a big game for us and one we’re really looking forward to.

“We know there’s going to be bumps in the road and we know it can be a bit of a rollercoaster, (but) we’re all on board, we’re all sticking together.

“This is something that’ll hopefully push us on, and you can see a big bounce back against Arsenal.”
