Our preparations for the new WSL campaign step up this weekend as we take on Chelsea in the Community Shield at Wembley.
But before that, let’s take a moment to reflect on the quality of goals we’ve scored in our warm-up matches so far.
New Head Coach Gareth Taylor said: “The girls are thirsty for knowledge. If you can articulate why we do a certain concept, once they see the rationale, you’ve got them.
“I’ve been really impressed with the attitude, application and professionalism. They are very low maintenance.
“We’ve been low in numbers for practice games and they have all chipped in. I was really impressed.
“I’m not new and I know a lot of the staff and players, so that’s helped.
“We’ve had six weeks training now and we’ve been able to work fairly normally.
“The support from the key workers around the CFA has been amazing - big shout out to them, they’ve made it very easy for us.”
