The Jamaica international has been in red-hot form in front of goal this term, scoring 12 times in all competitions.
This not only ranks her top of City’s scoring chart, but she’s also the leading the way in the WSL with nine – undoubtedly representing her best form for the Club.
And Goater is relishing the opportunity to assist Bunny on the training pitch.
“It’s interesting, really. We had a conversation and Gareth has always wanted me to start to bits of work with Bunny, working on her game” he said.
“We initially had some conversations and I’m now going to start to look at her games, see the type of striker she is.
“I’ve looked and seen her play one or two games but be able to analyse her game and enhance what she does and her strengths.
“It’s about watching her, observing, to see what type of forward she is to then pull out the best in what she can do instead of saying ‘do this type of finishing’.
“It’s about her and her game and really and just highlighting and enhancing her qualities.
“Movement will be one thing, I think that’s something, for Gareth’s point of view, is something he’s always been interested in – his forward line having that movement.
“But for me, it’ll be about her movement, when to make that movement.
“When our players have the ball, her eye contact, knowing how to make the run for the defender, taking that amount of space and then exploit that, so really looking forward to it.
Goater achieved hero status at City thanks to scoring 103 goals throughout his time in sky blue from 1998 to 2003.
Across his 212 appearances, he achieved two promotions leading to the Premier League – while producing countless memorable moments.
And he revealed he’ll take inspiration from George Weah’s time at the Club when working with Bunny.
He added: “I was always just thirsty and hungry for any information. I remember late in my career, George Weah coming to the Club. He was doing actions and I was like ‘I want to do actions’.
“He was grabbing Shaun Wright-Phillips because Shaun was a young player coming through, but I was there on the side saying ‘can I join in?’ because I always wanted to learn a little bit with him being a top world class player.
“So for me, it’ll be about trying to pass on the bits of knowledge and information I have that can help improve her as a forward player.
“Once you start to understand your game, and she’ll understand her game she can be more effective in the game and also create opportunities for herself and her teammates.”
