City u18s take on Welsh opposition for the second time in four days when they travel to the Racecourse Ground on Tuesday night.

Jason Wilcox’s men take on a Wrexham XI, looking to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat to Rhyl on Saturday afternoon.

A first-half goal by Rob Hughes was enough to condemn the Blues to defeat in the seaside town but the team could at least take some heart from an improved second-half performance.

City may be boosted by the returns of Tosin Adarabioyo, Sam Tattum and James Hardy, who are all back in Manchester after joining the Elite Development Squad tour party for their week-long stay in Germany.

Swedish striker Zacharias Faour may also be in contention for some minutes after his goalscoring exploits at international level in the Nordics u17 tournament at the weekend.

Kick-off at the Racecourse Ground is at 7.30pm and we’ll have a match report here on mcfc.co.uk after the game.
