The Under-16s emerged victorious from a three-day long tournament on Sunday by securing a dramatic triumph in the final after defeating domestic rivals Chelsea 9-8 in a tense penalty shoot-out after the teams had drawn 1-1.
It was a fourth success out of five age-group competitions for the City youngsters, who had previously secured international tournament success at Under 11, Under 13 and Under 14 age groups.
The tournament, which this year was staged at the City Football Academy and attracted teams from around the globe in addition to several domestic sides, kicked off on Friday with City drawing 1-1 against Arsenal in our group opener.

And it marked a third finals success for the group over their rivals from Chelsea.
The Blues then secured an impressive 4-0 win over French opponents Lille in our second encounter before rounding off the group stages with a goalless draw against Stoke City.
That result was enough to secure City a place in the semi-finals where we came up against Brazilian side Palmeiras.
And, just as in our final, the City youngsters showed their maturity and composure by claiming a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory.
With the game having finished tied at 1-1, the Blues then held their nerve by securing a 5-4 triumph on spot-kicks to book their place in the final.
That paved the way for a final encounter with Chelsea and another dramatic penalty shoot-out with City once again emerging victorious.
Well done to all our teams for a fantastic weekend.
