James McAtee opened the scoring in the 30th minute, and second half goals from D’Margio Wright-Phillips and Cole Palmer capped off a dominant display.
The result meant it was our fourth successive U18 Premier League North win to maintain top of the table status.
WHAT HAPPENED
Right from the off City started on the front foot attacking down the flanks through Oscar Bobb and Wright-Phillips.
It was the latter that crafted the opening goal with a pinpoint through ball to McAtee who finished cleverly around Baggies goalkeeper Ted Cann.
Following the break, City doubled their lead just five minutes into the second half with Wright-Phillips tapping home Palmer’s pinpoint cross.
James Trafford channelled his inner Ederson to earn City a third consecutive clean sheet in the U18 Premier League North, coming out and making a fine tackle to stop Alex Gilbert in his tracks as West Brom looked to get one back.
In the 77th minute Palmer sealed the three points with a near post finish to round off a dominant all-round performance.
HOW WE LINED UP
James Trafford started in goal, shielded by a back four of Luke Mbete-Tabu, Finley Burns, Josh Wilson-Esbrand and Kawku Oduroh.
Alex Robertson, CJ Egan-Riley and skipper Cole Palmer formed the midfield trio while D’Margio Wright-Phillips, Oscar Bobb and James McAtee were deployed in attack.
WHAT IT MEANS
The victory ensured that City remain top of the table in the Northern section of the Under 18 Premier League table. It was our tenth win from 12 league games with City leading the pack on 30 points.

We are back in action on Thursday, this time in the FA Youth Cup third round, when we play host to Swansea City.
