The network, established last season, provides fans with the opportunity to meet senior Club representatives on a monthly basis, to discuss a wide range of issues and topics which are of importance to the Club’s wider supporter base.
The 2019/20 ‘City Matters’ network will consist of eleven voluntary members who are appointed by the Club to represent eleven key demographic groups.
Manchester City invites applications for prospective Fan Representatives of the following groups;
• LGBTQ fans
• Disabled fans
• Local residents
In addition to discussing topics which are of importance to fans, the network has also been designed to create an environment where ideas and feedback can be shared by both fan and Club representatives with view to introducing new initiatives.
Fans can apply to join ‘City Matters’ as a voluntary representative by completing an online application form, which includes a submission of no more than four hundred words, as to why you would be best placed to represent one of the above groups.
Further information is detailed in the recruitment pack, available to download via the link below.
Following the closing date for applications, at 5:30pm on Friday 5 July, an internal panel will review the applications against a set of criteria before preparing a shortlist of applicants.
Profiles of those shortlisted will then be shared on the Club’s website (www.mancity.com) and fans (i.e. anyone who has a MCFC supporter number) will be invited, over the course of one week, to vote for their preferred candidate.
The candidate from each group category with the most votes will join the network and represent their group.
If you require assistance to register your vote or require information in an alternative format please contact the Access Team directly via email access@mancity.com or via phone on 0161 444 1894 Option 1, Option 2, Option 2 (phone line open Monday – Friday 9-5, Thursday 10-5).
