Hundreds of Manchester City supporters recently enjoyed a landmark moment as they attended the Club’s first official fan event in Korea.

More than 500 City-mad supporters were in attendance at ‘Seoul: Our Kind of City’, which gave locals the rare opportunity to watch their beloved Blues in action alongside fellow loyal Citizens.

The MUV Hall in Seoul was the venue for the Nexen Tire sponsored event, as the Club’s Korean contingent joined forces to cheer on Pep Guardiola’s men against Liverpool.

With the venue a sea of blue, the team did their part as they turned in an impressive performance, winning 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium, much to the delight of the Seoul fan base.

Supporters were able to get their hands on Nexen Tire branded captain’s armbands, wearing them proudly like Vincent Kompany did on the pre-season tour of the US, while City fan and local TV personality, Dong Wan Kim hosted proceedings.

Reflecting on the event, the SBS Sport presenter said: “Manchester City’s ‘Seoul: Our Kind of City’ fan event has been a great success.”

“Hundreds of passionate City fans joined together to watch the victory against Liverpool this weekend – it was a great chance for City fans across Seoul to come together and show our support for the team we love.

“The five-goal win was just an added bonus to a really special event.”

Supporter, Kyoung Sik Lyu echoed this sentiment, adding: “Everything was perfect.

“My favourite moment when everyone sang Blue Moon together. It was amazing.”
