Manchester City’s second match-screening fan event in Vietnam saw around 500 fans come together to watch the Manchester derby in the company of Club legend, Paul Dickov.

Delivered in partnership with our regional Affinity Card Partner, SHB, and with the aim of connecting supporters and bringing them closer to the Club, local Blues gathered at Hanoi’s F Club to watch us take on Manchester United.

With former striker, Dickov alongside members of the local supporters’ club, fans enjoyed a range of pre-match activities, including a FIFA 18 station, a City quiz and performances by Hoang Thuy Linh ad DJ Loki.

The event was hosted by Phong Vu and also featured a history wall, where fans could learn about our past, present and future, a photo booth to record unforgettable moments and an extensive list of giveaways.

“I was blown away by the City fans in Vietnam,” said Dickov.

“It was incredible to see the passion and enthusiasm of our Vietnamese supporters’ clubs first hand and watching the Derby game with them in their local bar is something I will cherish forever.  We’re lucky to have such dedicated fans.”

Tri Nguyen, Chairman of Manchester City’s Supporter Club in Vietnam, added: “This was an unforgettable night for all of us. We love Manchester City and it was fantastic to have them give us this opportunity to enjoy such a huge game together with a City legend like Paul.

“The feedback we’ve received from our members has been amazing and we’d like to thank the Club for joining us in Vietnam once again.

Manchester City’s viewing event was supported by K+ as the Official Media Partner, while the live public broadcast rights was presented by MP & Silva.
