City and sister club Bahia will host special Bahia activations on and around matchday for our Premier League home opener at the Etihad against Ipswich Town.

Bringing together football and music, the festivities on Saturday 24 August will help Bahia showcase their rich culture and build on the wonderful event we held in Manchester last season at the Fulham match, when a party mood and carnival atmosphere illuminated the stadium.

And what perfect timing  with Savinho, the electrifying Brazilian winger, our newest signing ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Carlinhos Brown – one of the most prominent Brazilian musical artists of today and a Bahia football fan – will be the star guest for the game.

He will entertain fans and bring the Bahia traditions to Manchester.

Oscar nominee and Latin Grammy winner Carlinhos will also be gifting tokens of Bahian culture, including the famous Lord of Bonfim ribbons, to supporters on the day.

Other Bahian traditions will be on display at the stadium including a capoeira presentation and the Bahia mascots who will join City’s mascots Moonchester and Moonbeam.

Olodum, one of the most important Afro-Brazilian percussion groups in history, recognized by the UN as Intangible Cultural Heritage of the State of Bahia, will also be present.

During the August Bank Holiday, the Club will also be celebrating Manchester Pride and our Ipswich Town match will see a range of special matchday activations and programme content marking the occasion.

A limited number of returned tickets are available for this fixture, exclusively to Matchday and Junior Members - buy now.
