2023 – Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw
Prolific City striker Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw bagged an impressive hat-trick against Everton on 27 May 2023.
Teed up by England international Lauren Hemp, Shaw showcased her clinical edge, needing just one touch to set herself before firing a low effort into the bottom left corner.
2024 – Phil Foden
Our star from Stockport, Phil Foden, scored a fantastic goal against West Ham on the final day of the 2023/24 season to confirm City’s historic fourth successive Premier League title.
The England international, who went on to win the Premier League Player of the Season award, needed just two minutes to find the back of the West Ham net in our 3-1 win.
He took the ball in his stride, dancing around James Ward-Prowse with ease before thumping a fine left-footed strike into the top left corner.
2024 – Lauren Hemp
On 5 May 2024, Hemp fired home against Arsenal.
The winger showed her clinical edge against a resolute Gunners defence.
After receiving the ball from Leila Ouahabi, Hemp took a touch to help angle herself towards the Arsenal goal and quickly fired a fierce left-footed finish into the bottom right corner.
2022 – Ilkay Gundogan
To complete the list, of course City’s dramatic comeback win over Aston Villa had to be included.
The West Midlands side took a 2-0 lead, with City’s title chances quickly slipping away.
But a dramatic turnaround, completed by Ilkay Gundogan’s tap-in at the back post, sent the Etihad into a frenzy as City won the 2021/22 Premier League title in the 81st minute.
