Manchester City Academy coach, Luke Robinson ran 85km (52 miles) in 48 hours all in the name of City in the Community (CITC) and Leeds United Foundation.

Luke works as the Under 10 Lead Academy Coach at Manchester City’s Academy.

Having worked for the club for two and a half years, as well as being a life-long Leeds United fan, being originally from Leeds, it was important to Luke to support and involved both clubs and communities through his challenge.

Starting at Elland Road in Leeds on Saturday December 3, Luke ran across Leeds, past Headingley stadium, through Horsforth, towards Bradford, finishing past Brighouse near the M62.

Luke then continued across Saddleworth Moors, towards Old Trafford before looping back round to the Etihad Stadium, finishing at the City Football Academy where he was met by his Under 10 team on Sunday, December 4.

The money in Manchester goes towards Manchester City’s Christmas campaign that supports City in the Community.

If you would like to support CITC and their work, you can this Christmas through Manchester City’s ‘A Time For Giving’ campaign.

For every purchase a fan makes for a range of selected Christmas retail clothing items, available online and in the City Store, the Club will donate £5 to its charity, City in the Community.

Fans can also make additional donations at the tills in the stadium store, when checking out during their purchase journey for match tickets and via www.mancity.com/CITC.

City in the Community moves with city youth to empower healthier lives through football.
