City in the Community is once again offering free lunches to youngsters in Manchester during the school holidays.

This Easter, 2,400 healthy meals will be made available to families across East Manchester, Hulme and Wythenshawe.

All three collection points will each have 100 nutritious meals available every day from Tuesday 6th to Friday 9th April, and Tuesday 13th to Friday 16th April between 11am – 1pm.

The lunches will be made from locally sourced, fresh ingredients developed by Manchester Mind’s ‘Food for All’ food hub.

All families who wish to collect meals must sign-up in advance and can do so by completing the form below. Once registered, a confirmation will be sent with an address and collection timeslot.

City in the Community’s Community Outreach Manager, Martin Ingham-Griffith, said: “We have always been passionate about supporting local children during the school holidays, and that’s more important now than ever as we continue to navigate the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Last half-term, CITC made 1,500 free lunches available as part of our Soccer School initiative.

“This Easter holiday, we’ll be offering nutritious meals once again, as well as a separate football provision; ensuring that more children than ever can benefit from a healthy lunch even if they’re not signing up to a Soccer School session.

“We would call on anyone who thinks that a free lunch might benefit their family during the Easter holidays to register your interest as soon as possible.”
