Cityzens Giving for Recovery – our 12-month programme aimed at helping communities get back on their feet following the COVID-19 pandemic – will benefit from a £50,000 boost thanks to the sale of Manchester City face coverings.

The face coverings – which come in three different designs – have proved hugely popular with our supporters since going on sale earlier this summer.

As well as playing their own vital part in helping to try and prevent the spread of the virus, the purchase of the face coverings has provided another huge boost for our Cityzens Giving for Recovery fundraising efforts.

City fans have bought 10,000 face coverings, and in conjunction with our retail operator, Fanatics, all proceeds from the sales up til 31st July, totalling £50,000, were donated to City in the Community’s mental health programme.

MANCHESTER PROJECT SPOTLIGHT

The project will help support young people in Manchester in their recovery from the impact of the coronavirus crisis by embedding mental health awareness and understanding across all community projects targeting thousands of participants aged 14-25 years old.

Thank you very much to all our fans who purchased City face coverings. Together we are making a difference to the lives of thousands of young people in Manchester.
