Sanjit Kurar is part of the official Manchester City Delhi Supporters Club, and the 22-year-old gave us an insight into his passion for the club.
What made you become a City fan?
The spirit with which the team plays, the hunger that I saw in the eyes of the players to make their fans proud. It is not just about their own place in the team, it’s about the big dreams they carry on their shoulders and the “Never Give Up” attitude until the whistle blows just made me fall in love with the Club!
Also, the friendly atmosphere, and the attacking power of the team which doesn’t let my eyes drift away for even a second.
What is your earliest memory of supporting the Club?

My earliest memory is the the 93:20 moment!! I watched and screamed and cried as my favourite team went on to win the title in an extraordinary way. That moment is probably the best moment for the majority of supporters, but for me, it marked as the beginning of a lifelong passion for Manchester City.
Do you have a favourite City game from your time watching us?
I do have a lot of favourite games, but if I had to choose one, I would probably say when we won 2-0 at Manchester United in April 2019!
It was a Manchester derby full of passion and excitement and we won thanks to dazzling strikes from Bernardo and Leroy Sane!
When every win that season counted if we were to to retain the Premier League title, beating United in such a way at Old Trafford is a very special memory.
What does supporting City mean to you?
Supporting City is like nurturing your own family with lots of love and blessings. The feeling of jumping for joy, heart strings attached to every nerve wrecking moments in the match, the pleasure of winning against your opponent and an emotional attachment with the Blues!

Well, City is my second family, and I will always be loyal and supportive for my family!
Do you have a favorite City player and, if so, why?
Sergio Aguero... Kun Agueooooo!! The one name that always comes to my mind whenever I hear the name Manchester City.
If you ask me, why is he my favourite player, I would probably say, give me a reason why he shouldn’t be everyone’s favourite! Whenever City are under pressure, this man always delivers, he has all the shots in his armoury.
A player who came to this club in 2011 and became a legend after helping City win the title after a long drought of 44 years!
Selfless Sergio, you are a legend!
What are your hopes for this season?
Following our new summer signings, with Ferran Torres on the wing, I think our attack looks even more stronger than before, and our strength on the bench is also very good.
I also think the defence seems more settled now, which has been a slight worry in our past season. Hopefully, we are all set for breaking more records in the 2020-21 season.
I am looking forward towards another superb season under Pep Guardiola, and I also hope for a strong showing in the Champions League.
