Congratulations to Manchester City's Israel Official Supporters Club branch, which is celebrating its seventh anniversary.

Formed at the beginning of 2016, the branch now has over 165 registered supporters, making it the largest of its kind in the Middle East.

They regularly attend matches, both home and away but, if unable to travel in person, will meet in a local pub to cheer Pep Guardiola‘s men on from afar.

The group also has a strong digital presence, with over 5,000 people following the branch’s Facebook page and other social media accounts.

Indeed, this year one of the members even produced a series of podcasts, where supporters of a diverse background and age shared their stories of supporting City.

The branch aim to celebrate their ‘birthday’ each year, with 2023’s edition seeing 70 members join an event near the capital city of Tel Aviv to watch City’s recent Champions League clash with RB Leipzig.

Not only did Pep Guardiola‘s men earn a memorable 7-0 win, but a raffle for an Aymeric Laporte signed shirt gifted by the Club was also carried out.

One of the branch’s committee members, Yariv Shapira, said of the event: “City and Haaland made it perfect for us with the amazing 7-0 win (yes, seven, in sync with our seventh anniversary).

“Thanks to the team in England that has continuously supported us throughout this amazing journey.

“We’re already looking forward to next season’s event.”
