Pep Guardiola, Ederson, Alex Greenwood, Bernardo Silva, Rodrigo, Kevin De Bruyne, Julian Alvarez, Mary Fowler and Erling Haaland have all been shortlisted for prizes at the upcoming ceremony.
The candidates for each category have been selected by two expert panels – one for women’s football and one for men’s.
City boss Guardiola is amongst the nominees for The Best FIFA Men’s Coach award.
The Catalan guided us to the Treble in 2023/24 which included our third successive Premier League crown, a seventh FA Cup and maiden Champions League success of our illustrious history.
By doing so, he became the first head coach in the history of the game to win two trebles after doing so with Barcelona in 2009.
In contention for The Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper prize is Ederson.
The Brazilian maintained 19 clean sheets in all competitions last term en route to his eighth, ninth and tenth major honours at the Etihad Stadium.
After a magical maiden season at the Club, Erling Haaland has been selected within the nominees for The Best FIFA Men’s Player.
The 23-year-old plundered a staggering 52 goals in all competitions in sky blue in 2022/23 and broke a number of domestic and European records along the way – including setting a new highest goalscoring Premier League tally in a single season with 36.
Meanwhile, talismanic Kevin De Bruyne has been shortlisted for the same gong after registering a mightily impressive 10 goals and 31 assists in all competitions last campaign.
Alongside the Belgian and Norwegian in this category are Bernardo, Rodrigo and Alvarez.
Amongst a swathe of highlights last season, a standout moment for the Portuguese came when he scored an iconic brace in our 4-0 Champions League second leg win over Real Madrid in May.
And, of course, the Spaniard forever etched his name in City folklore for scoring the only goal of the game in the Champions League final against Inter as we recorded a 1-0 triumph in Turkey.
Arriving from River Plate last summer, Alvarez enjoyed a trophy-laden term which saw him become only the 10th player to win the Champions League and World Cup in the same season.
In a wonderful first campaign in England, the electric forward struck 17 goals in all competitions for City while bagging four goals for his country at the 2022 World Cup.
Elsewhere, Greenwood and Fowler have been shortlisted for The Best FIFA Women’s Player award.
After making 29 appearances, while registering five assists, for Gareth Taylor’s side in 2022/23, Greenwood was selected by Sarina Wiegman for England’s 2023 World Cup squad.
And the classy centre-back played in every match for the Lionesses as they reached their first-ever Women’s showpiece at the iconic tournament.

Following a promising first term at the Joie Stadium, Fowler too was selected to compete at the World Cup, but for co-hosts Australia.
By scoring in the Matildas’ group stage victory over Canada, she became the youngest player to score for Tony Gustavsson’s side since 2011.
