Manchester City Council has introduced a new restricted parking zone in East Manchester which includes the roads surrounding the Etihad Stadium.

The Eastlands Residents Parking Scheme replaces the existing parking zone which has operated on matchdays around the stadium for several years.

Sunday’s Premier League match against Arsenal will be the first match with the new zone in operation.

To ensure the impact is reduced, we encourage fans to view the Council’s dedicated page here for further information

The Council’s dedicated page includes details of the specific roads impacted by the restricted parking zone. Blue Badge holders can find out more about their on-street parking options here.

Manchester City Council’s new zone will be in operation from midday to 11pm every day, meaning many streets in the area will be restricted to parking for permit holders during all matchdays at the Etihad Stadium.

We understand that the Council’s new policy will change how some fans travel to the Etihad Stadium.

As a result, in line with our efforts to continuously improve fans’ experiences and encourage more sustainable transport, we have identified a range of alternative travel methods.

This includes trialling a recently launched Matchday Bus Network in partnership with the Bee Network to help fans from across Greater Manchester travel to and from the Etihad Stadium.

The accessible service includes 17 different routes operating across 60 stops, covering a combined total of more than 340 miles.

The service has operated for the past five home men’s matches and during this time the Club has surveyed fans after each match to hear their feedback on the service.

On average, 88% of fans rate the service as “very satisfactory or satisfactory”, and many fans have switched to using it over cars.

The Club has also worked with Transport for Greater Manchester to double the number of Metrolink services on a matchday.

Step-free services now operate every six minutes and connect fans to 98 other stops across Greater Manchester.

Meanwhile, there are plans to redevelop the CityLink walkway, and we have added a range of new bike storage facilities at the Etihad Stadium.

Parking at the Etihad Stadium remains an option for fans, and spots can pre-booked on our website here
