Manchester City want to say a huge thank you to our many Official Supporters Club branches – both in the UK and abroad - for the way they have played their part in support of our ground-breaking Cityzens Giving for Recovery campaign to date.

Cityzens Giving for Recovery is City Football Group’s transformative initiative aimed at bringing staff and fans together to help our communities get back on their feet in the wake of the pandemic.

City supporters from all over the world have been generously donating and fundraising for recovery-linked projects in nine cities spread across the world to help communities near nine of City Football Group (CFG)’s clubs.

City Football Group have matched donations pound for pound to double the impact, with more than £575,000 raised together to date.

And our OSC branches have done their bit to help boost the fundraising drive.

Our UK branches have been loyal and generous supporters of our Cityzens Giving initiatives for many years now and have played their part once again this year, collectively helping to raise a combined total of £20,000 in support of Cityzens Giving for Recovery.

That spirit of generosity and warm community spirit has also been evident in our many branches spread around the globe.

In the United States, a fundraiser staged by the New York Sky Blues, including an exclusive Qand A with City legend Paul Dickov, helped raised a figure of £6000 ($7,910) – thanks to 105 individual donations.

Meanwhile, members of Bengaluru Cityzens in India made their own special contribution via a special raffle with the star prize of a special kit signed by City midfielder Rodrigo which helped raise more than $535.

Cityzens Giving for Recovery provided just the opportunity we needed to get involved locally as well as globally. We made our donation to the Mumbai project since it is close to home and close to our hearts,” said Desrie Dsouza from Bengaluru Cityzens.

Over on the other side of the world in Australia, members of the Melbourne Blues chipped in with various special events to help boost the Cityzens Giving Recovery project, raising £333.

Meanwhile, the Sydney branch of the OSC also did their bit, staging a special raffle of a signed Melbourne kit and raising £332 altogether.

Thank you to everyone involved and watch this space for what’s next!
