With more than 700,000 tickets available, the competition is set to mark the biggest women’s European sport event in history, as England compete on home soil for the first time since 2005 - and City’s Academy Stadium is set to host three Group D games.
While the Lionesses will hope to achieve success on the pitch, a legacy programme has also been unveiled to illustrate how a record-breaking tournament has the power to inspire the next generation of players and fans.
It is hoped the tournament will inspire action to double the number of female-friendly clubs in Manchester and Trafford and upskill 400 female activators to further support the game off the pitch.
To mark the milestone of one year to the first game, the Club partnered with MCR Active to welcome 15 local children from St Anne’s Primary School to the CFA to take part in some fun football sessions with City coaches.
Youngsters also received a tour of the CFA, including the Academy Stadium - home of our Women’s and Academy teams - and were invited to ask questions with a Q&A!
