Earlier this season, Manchester City teamed up with long-term partner SAP in a bid to discover Community Heroes from around the world and now three finalists have the chance to win a life-changing volunteering trip with Cityzens Giving.
Meet our second finalist: Nicole from Virginia Beach, USA
Nicole has been volunteering since the age of fourteen and for the last three years has been working with StandUp For Kids Hampton Roads, a non-profit organisation that helps support disconnected and homeless youth in Virginia Beach.
As well as running her own day care centre and studying full time, City fan Nicole is also the volunteer co-Executive Director of StandUp For Kids.
She is dedicated to making sure that the most vulnerable young people in the community have access to food, shelter and know there is someone who cares.
Nicole was nominated by her husband, Matt, in proud recognition of her hard work. Nicole’s phone rings 24/7 but when it comes to “her kids”, there is no off time if they need help.
City fans around the world have until midnight on Friday 31st May to cast their vote via the Cityzens portal.
The top voted Community Hero and their nominator will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent Manchester City and SAP on an international volunteering trip to Bangkok with Cityzens Giving.
They will then fly to meet some of their own heroes from the reigning Premier League Champions, Manchester City, on their pre-season tour.
Choosing a winner is sure to be tough decision. It is time to play your part and choose your Community Hero now.
