The Argentina ace presented prizes and passed on some tips to those involved in an innovative health project in East Manchester.
Premier League Health is organised by the club’s City in the Community programme and involves up to 30 participants a week taking part in football and health activities twice a week at the Sporting Edge Sports Centre in Openshaw.
The project is backed by the New Football Pools and the Premier League and sessions take place on Monday and Wednesday between 4pm and 6pm and activities include football, badminton, boxing and basketball.
Zaba was full of enthusiasm for project:
“It’s is important that everyone takes part in regular exercise and this scheme is a great way for men in East Manchester to get involved with Manchester City and also get fit and healthy,” he declared.
Their enthusiasm was there for all to see and that’s great. Hopefully they will all get their friends to join in.

MCFC’s Health Trainer is also on hand at sessions to provide participants with simple tips and advice on eating healthier and being more physically active.
Premier League Health is a unique £1.63m programme funded by the New Football Pools and managed and administered by the Football Foundation that is utilizing football clubs to send a very clear message to men from the local community that their health and wellbeing matters.
CITC have received £87,306.00 from the New Football Pools to fund the project over the next three years.
