Adrian Bernabe has been named Premier League 2 Player of the Month for February.

The Spanish midfielder scored two goals in two games and provided one assist as he fought off competition from five other in form youngsters to claim the prize.

All of those contributions came in one game, City’s Elite Development Squad’s (EDS) 4-2 win away at Arsenal, where Bernabe was the standout performer.

His 20-yard effort in the first half ensured Paul Harsley’s side went in level at the break and, after teeing up Jayden Braaf for our third goal, he wrapped up the points with a clinical strike from inside the area.

The Premier League Football Development Panel nominated and chose the 18-year-old as this month’s winner after PL2 club coaches picked out the best performance by an opposing player in each of their league matches during the month.

Congratulations, Adrian!
