And for Barry-Murphy the two road trips represent the perfect litmus tests for his players as we step up our hunt for an unprecedented third PL2 title in a row.
“The games at Leicester and Palace are exactly what you would want,” Barry-Murphy asserted.
“Going to Leicester will be a great test for our players as we couldn’t win there last year.
“And when we went to Crystal Palace last season it was one of the toughest games we had.
“We are constantly focused on pushing them and having to produce an improvement every day in training as that means when it comes to Friday’s game it’s the next part of that process.
“It’s a really significant part of the season where we can push our players hard and different tests within the league programme are of such value to us where we can see the players’ progress.
“And it’s great as we have to play under the expectation of being top of the table and having to win games and trying to go on a good run and grabbing momentum.
“There will be loads of twists and turns in terms of our performances.
“But we are trying to minimise the days where our physical performance is not at the level we want. That’s the challenge we have.”
