The date and kick-off time for City’s FA Youth Cup fourth round tie with Arsenal have been confirmed.

Oliver Reiss’ Under-18s will welcome the young Gunners to the Joie Stadium on Friday 16 January, with kick-off slated for 19:00 (UK).

City advanced to the latest stage of the prestigious competition following an exciting 3-1 win over Fulham on home soil.

Archie Taylor gave Fulham the lead in the first half, but our young boys in blue remained resilient and our hard work paid off in the 80th minute when substitute Christian Dunbar-McDonald drew us level with a fine finish.

Late goals from Ryan McAidoo and Teddie Lamb, separated by just three minutes, completed our dramatic comeback.

Arsenal secured their place in the fourth round after a 4-1 triumph at Mansfield Town to tee up what will be an exciting reunion of two sides with a lot of history in the FA Youth Cup.

Our last meeting with the Gunners in the prestigious competition dates back to 2021 in a semi-final clash at the Emirates.

Arsenal took the lead on eight minutes before City’s Lakyle Samuel was shown a straight red card in the first half.

Our Under-18s showed tremendous heart, and despite the twin setback, Justin Oboavwoduo drew us level on 74 minutes.

It took 30 minutes of extra time for a decisive moment to stop the game from going to a penalty shootout as Myles Lewis-Skelly netted on the brink of full-time to see Arsenal advance to the final.

And this time around, City will be looking to make sure it’s our name in the hat for the fifth round.
