A first half brace from Micah Hamilton, and second half strikes from Darko Gyabi and Josh Adam secured a superb win on the road for the City youngsters at Finch Farm.
Victory means the Under-18s are just two points behind league leaders, Manchester United with an all-important game in hand.
WHAT HAPPENED
The City youngsters looked to control the game from the off at Finch Farm, enjoying the lion’s share of possesion in the opening stages.
Despite this the Toffees backline stood firm throughout the first half-hour, denying City the chance to bare down on Zan-Luk Leban’s goal.
In spite of this, City’s controlling start was finally rewarded five minutes before the break, as Sam Edozie set up Micah Hamilton to open the scoring.
Despite half-time approaching City, and Hamilton were not done there as the midfielder doubled his, and our account a minute before the break for his fourth goal in as many games.
After a superb end to the first half Vicens’ side began the second half in the same fashion, as Carlos Borges assisted Gyabi for our third just two minutes after the restart.
As to be expected the City youngsters now had full control and wrapped up the game perfectly with 10 minutes to go, as Adam came off the bench to score our fourth.
HOW WE LINED UP
Mikki Van Sas‘ goal was protected by a back four of Shea Charles, Jadel Katongo, Callum Doyle and Juan Larios.
Romeo Lavia, Darko Gyabi formed our midfield three, whilst Sam Edozie and Carlos Borges occupied the right and left wing.
Oscar Bobb led the line up-front.
WHAT IT MEANS
Victory means City stay hot on the heels of United, as Carlos Vicens sit two points behind the league leaders in second with a game in hand.
The City youngsters know that two wins in their final two games will secure the U18 Premier League North title.
