On Saturday 25 April, City’s Premier League 2 play-off journey begins with a home clash against Arsenal.

We welcome the Gunners to the Joie Stadium for a 19:00 (UK) kick-off in our single leg Round of 16 tie, with tickets available here.

Ahead of the all-important match-up, we take a look at some of the most impressive statistics from City’s 20-game League Phase journey that saw us finish third…

HOME RECORD

No other side in the 29-team league boasts a better home record than City.

Of our 10 matches at the Joie Stadium, Ben Wilkinson’s side won nine and drew one for 28 points, with second-place Southampton also going unbeaten but with seven wins and three draws for four points less than City.

Completing the League Phase undefeated on home soil means you have to go back over 12 months to our last loss at the Joie in which we fell to a 3-2 defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday 16 March 2025.

City were also the most fruitful in front of goal in our home fixtures.

Our Under-21s bagged 38 goals, averaging almost four a game, and conceded just five, averaging one every 180 minutes.

SAFE HANDS

An instrumental aspect to City’s impressive form since the turn of the New Year was the ability to deny our opponents from scoring.

Jack Wint totalled the highest number of clean sheets in the league with seven from his 13 league outings.

And with having played more games than the four shot stoppers who rank above him, Wint has a staggering 75% save percentage. Incredible numbers from the 19-year-old.

CONDUCTING CAPTAIN

Helping Wint maintain a strong defensive unit was City’s backline, with the likes of Brookyln Nfonkeu, Christian McFarlane, Harrison Parker, Kaden Braithwaite a selection of influential players in defence.

One in particular was Kian Noble, who captained Wilkinson’s EDS side for seven League Phase matches.

A couple of his strongest attributes are his ball-playing and ability to read play.

That meant he was instrumental when City defended, but also when we looked to begin phases of attack.

Noble has the highest number of successful passes, and by quite a stretch. His 1497 passes are 184 more than Chelsea’s Harrison Murray-Campbell’s 1313.

That’s also almost 16% of City’s 9671 successful passes as a squad.

DANCING FEET

At the other end of the pitch, Reigan Heskey has been twisting and turning defenders in his first full season in the PL2.

The 18-year-old has six assists in 15 PL2 appearances, with Ryan McAidoo going one better to be City’s top provider.

What has allowed Heskey to tee up his team-mates is his willingness to take on any opponent.

His drive to succeed has seen him create 30 chances, just seven less than Chelsea’s Reggie Walsh.

He also has the second-highest dribbles completed with 38, all numbers that correlate with how much of a key figure he’s been for City so far this term.
