Following a superb 4-0 win over Leeds United at the home of Pep Guardiola‘s side, we etched our name on the historic honour for the fourth time.
Although Ben Wilkinson‘s side dominated the first half, the goal we craved evaded us as the visitors defended heroically and looked to catch on us on the counter.
However, we restarted quickly after the break and broke the deadlock through Justin Oboavwoduo who was rewarded for his industrious run by bundling the ball home.

Buoyed by taking the lead, Jayden Heskey doubled our advantage shortly after when he ghosted into the box and coolly swept home.
We then took a huge step towards claiming the trophy when Stephen Mfuni headed into an empty net before clinical striker Matty Warhust extended our lead further to finish the scoring late on.
